Here’s to white haired grandmas and the flaky, sweet and salty, explode in your mouth flavors of the simple desserts of years gone by.
While we don’t have a store-front bakery yet, you can find many of our delicious, ready to bake pies and cookie doughs in one of my favorite local businesses, Elk River Meat Market, on Main Street in Elk River, Minnesota. They are open Thursday through Saturday. They also stock our already baked Amish Friendship Bread. Mary says the only thing wrong with it is, “Once you start eating it, you can’t stop.”
